TCB Rating:

The part one of the Syndicater was done so beautifully that it deserves five bright shining stars, and the first four chapters of part two were also amazing, and the reunion was the best, most perfect reunion anyone could ever hope for! Overall, I would say that this book featured some of RuNyx’s best writing moments, but there were also some that were definitely not her best, proving to be inconsistent and slowing down the pace.

In all honesty, the reunion was everything, and I appreciated that it wasn’t told from Tristan and Luna’s perspective because it was more poignant from other people’s perspectives, allowing us to experience them from several angles! I adore what we received, but I think their feelings would have been too jumbled to convey, and Tristan’s tears shattered my heart.

In addition to being incredibly slow, part two occasionally bored me and seemed to concentrate more on one character than the others. The four sleazy chapters that followed one another didn’t help either.

The part two was at best two stars, and part three left me feeling torn because, in contrast to most people, I was truly astonished by one of the story twists. I like part three until I got two chapters past it, at which point I thought the closure was far too hasty. I detested the epilogues because they were the most foolish, pointless, and pitiful chapters I have ever read.

I have no idea what Runyx was doing with Tristan and Morana, but they are one of my favorite pairings in this series, and I am completely smitten with them. I get that we have two books about them, but please don’t say that to me. This was meant to be a book for everyone, not just Dainn and Luna, so it was really upsetting to see Tristan and Morana marginalized.

This novel was far less than what Morana deserved! She was a key character in this novel, which I appreciated, but what happened to her was atrocious. I thought Morana would be abducted, and I enjoyed how the plot was being developed through this twist.

I adored her despite the fact that she made me adore the book with her demeanor; she was highly self-reliant and accomplished nearly everything by herself. gave Tristan and Luna time, figured things out much earlier than everyone else, and supported Tristan from the beginning! However, I didn’t like that she didn’t reveal her true identity.

Because of what happened to him, Tristan in part one is the Tristan I know and love. No, his character wasn’t distorted, and I still loved him, but why did he have the inability to see Morana’s suffering when everyone else could? Dainn was even aware of it! and Tristan was blind to it? Although it was illegal for him to not tell her that he loved her, but aside from that, I adored Tristan and his bond with Xander. I thought his point of view was invaluable.

He was definitely a great brother who listened to Luna and showed her how much he respected and cared for her. His breakdown when Morana told him that she had found Luna was so well written, and his panic attack with Morana consoling him was literally all I needed. and I continue to see statements like “he shamed her like a slut.” Like, bitch, where? I would undoubtedly appreciate his monologue because it was so enjoyable to read and something I felt was lacking.

Since Xander prefers to do things a certain way and according to a routine, and because he already loves and feels at ease with them as parents, I was happy that he stayed with them. Luna didn’t really react or say anything about Xander being her son during the entire time I was reading her point of view, so I didn’t have strong feelings about him seeing her. They also hardly ever got any screen time, so I don’t understand why people expect me to support Xander going to her when Tristan and Morana treat him so well.

I enjoyed Xander’s interaction with Tristan and Morana. He was very perceptive with Morana, noticing when she was in pain or had forgotten her medication. He also snitched on Morana with Tristan, and that scene where he gave him a high five was adorable! His scene with Zephyr was one of my favorites, and Tristan’s bonding with him over food was adorable.

I didn’t really expect any domestic moments in the romance because I assumed that everyone would be too busy with the syndicate. However, if Dainn and Luna were so busy robbing people for the first half, why couldn’t Tristan and Morana have some time together?

The only scene we got was a smut scene, and even though it was really hot when Tristan turned her into a pretzel, I still needed some cute moments between them. I’m baffled that Tristan, the most perceptive man, didn’t notice that Morana was in pain. That isn’t him.

I wanted more of the wedding, but I didn’t like the epilogues either! I wanted the proposal, too, right? However, that will be covered in the novella. I enjoyed Tristan taking care of her and the fact that he’s still hunting for doctors to treat her arm after reading the fresh chapters that Runyx was reportedly hiding!

The bond between Tristan and Luna, Alpha and Zephyr’s pregnancy were only a few of the numerous plot flaws. Chiara fleeing, and lastly, the manner we learned about the syndicate’s head without knowing his true name in the final three chapters? This book became increasingly disorganized as it went along. The first part of the book was everything you could possibly want, but the second part is, to be honest, awful. The plot twist involving Zephyr’s father was awful, and the entire book needed to be longer. It dragged and ended too quickly.

I’ve read and enjoyed all of Runyx’s novels, giving them five stars, so I’m not familiar with this one. I’m disappointed that the Syndicater couldn’t even be rated a four! Because I adore this author, I’m giving it a high rating, but the plot, romance, and characters in this book didn’t work out as well as I had hoped; the four back-to-back smut chapters, albeit hot, could have been better dispersed.
